Ever Hear of Dynamic Scale Moding

I knew that someone had to be doing this sort of thing, but I was glad to see that there is a company that is selling the audio, lights and electronics to make you own.

What is Dynamic Modeling: It is the addition of gun flash lights, and audio recordings of guns , as well as flying sounds.

This is advance modeling, but this takes your scale model to the proverbial next level.

Like any of my post it best just to look at the site, here: Dynamic Scale Modeling

Make 1:1 scale wood boats, learn boat building

Midwest Products, is the company that supplies , cut balsa, metal , and wood plane and of most interest 1 inch to a foot scale small boats. This is a great way to learn something of boat construction , as the kits are cut into the parts that a traditional boat builder would cut or form. Its at least a good scale exercise and my one day this type of model can be used in airplane kits?

Revell P-47d-30 Thunderbolt, learning to research

I have a German Revell model from 2001 or so, 1/72, I wanted to find out what paints are suggested. Having just discovered Alclad Metal paints , I was very interested in planning for the mostly exposed metal of the this P-47. I had been thing of doing a metalized painted in the first place, but did not know a product. Here are some of the links I found , for the first P-47d and any paint information for that model. The discovery of Alclad paints will be great for the increased realism for any models I made with non-painted metal.

Completed German Revell P-47D-30

Color Charts of major paint companies Stockholmm

He-178 painted in Alclad metal paints, from FineScale Modeling Magazine, great example of how metal paints make a model stand out.

Great step by step on how to paint with Alclad metal paints, pictures and real advice.

Testors Thunderbolt , good pictures as well

Revell paint conversion chart , not complete but helpful.

Internet hobbies is running a weekend discount selling Alclad Paint for $6.77 , must buy before midnight August 2 2009

It look to be a couple of years out before this movie makes it tot the big screen, but Peter Jackson making a war movie should be excellent.
